i’m drawn to the life of an ascetic. everyday i feel like throwing away all my possessions, packing some survival gear and leaving with just the clothes on my back. where i would go, i don’t know. but far away from here. and here isn’t even a physical place. it’s a state of mind. a state of mind concerned with the nothingness that our societies revolve around. a mindless mind. not in the zen sense, but one that is only existing in the material plane. if i am constantly bombarded with politricks and the media attempting to dumb our people down, how can I elevate myself to a place of peace!? i am not strong enough yet to live within the beast whilst giving my all. everyday I slip deeper into this quicksand of bullshit. i need release. i need to get out of here, to live in a cave, to concentrate my efforts and grow strong for the day i return victorious with a sword of light and a shield of love.
Look, there is no point in blindly believing that after I touch you, you will be saved, or that a chariot from heaven will be waiting for you. Because of the guru’s attainment, the sanctifying touch becomes a helper in the blossoming of Knowledge, and being respectful towards having acquired this blessing, you must yourself become a sage, and proceed on the path to elevate your Soul by applying the techniques of sadhana given by the guru.
